If you are running Cygwin in Windows vista make sure you run cygwin as Administrator. Running cygwin by double clicking the “Cygwin bash shell” icon will result in following error :
| bash: ls: command not found in cygwin in vista |
This looks like some kind of security related error in Windows Vista. However you can get the cygwin bash shell running with out any issues, just remember to run cygwin bash shell as Administrator.
