Google Analytics is Free tool to track your site visitors, I am using Google Analytics on other sites but never used it on WordPress site. Since WordPress uses PHP it’s not simple to use Google Analytics on WordPress sites.However there is Google Analytic plugin that is available which makes it very simple to use Google Analytics on WordPress Sites.
How to install WordPress Plugin in 3 steps:
1.Login to your WordPress site using SSH client.
2.Go to ../wpcontent/plugins directory and run wget command to download the Google Analytic plugins in plugins direcory
$wget http://www.semiologic.com/res/sem-google-analytics.zip
3.unzip the sem-google-analytics.zip file and you are good to activate the plugin using WordPress Admin account.
$ unzip sem-google-analytics.zip
Archive: sem-google-analytics.zip
inflating: sem-google-analytics/sem-google-analytics-admin.php
inflating: sem-google-analytics/sem-google-analytics.php
How to add the Google Analytic code in WordPress site
1.once you activate the plugin go to WordPress dashboard
