Trojan Vundo is very common Trojan which attacks Windows XP and Windows Vista PC/laptops. I came to know about this Trojan when strange advertisement pop up start appearing on my Windows Vista desktop.

There is CVE advisory available on Trojan vundo. Trojan.Vundo is a component of an adware program that downloads and displays pop-up advertisements. It is known to be installed by visiting a Web site link contained in a spammed email.

Trojan.Vundo consists of the following components:

HTML code that exploits the Microsoft Internet Explorer Malformed IFRAME Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability (BID 11515)
A downloader component
Adware
A DLL module that is installed by the adware.

Download the Anti-Malware Malwarebytes from the cleverbridge and complete the installation if you don’t have MalwareBytes Anti-Malware software.
Run a quick scan , once completed with scan click on results to see if you have Trojan vundo.
Select the detected “Trojan Vundo” as shown in picture, remove it and restart you Windows Vista PC.
